The Steepwater Band
Chicago, 1998. Jeff Massey viu um cargueiro chamado Steepwater ancorado no lago Michigan e ficou com o nome. O primeiro show foi num bar chamado Phyllis' Musical Inn, em outubro daquele ano.
Começaram tocando Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson e John Lee Hooker até virar banda autoral. Blues elétrico de Chicago com peso de hard rock e slide guitar.
O público que os sustenta é espanhol: estrearam na Europa em 2005 e desde então headlinam Madrid, Bilbao e Barcelona. Foi num festival na Espanha que conheceram Marc Ford, guitarrista do Black Crowes, que produziu o quarto disco deles.
