The Standstills
Duo de Oshawa, Ontário: Jonny Fox na guitarra e voz, Renée Couture na bateria, casados na vida e na banda. Se formaram em 2010 ainda como estudantes, com White Stripes e Queens of the Stone Age na coleção de discos, e viraram um dos poucos duos de hard rock a furar o rádio canadense: Orleans, de 2015, chegou ao top 5 da parada de rock do país. Badlands, de 2019, e Shockwave, de 2022, produzido por Neil Sanderson do Three Days Grace e mixado por Howard Benson, consolidaram o formato: riff gordo, groove hipnótico e refrão de estádio saindo de duas pessoas.
