Nässjö, Suécia, 1987. Quatro adolescentes montaram a banda numa cidade pequena e se mudaram para Estocolmo, onde viraram parte da cena que também produziu os Hellacopters.
Punk com verniz de glam — refrão grande, guitarra suja, roupa preta. Foi o que os fez atravessar a fronteira sueca quando quase nenhuma banda de lá conseguia.
Dregen divide as duas bandas com os Hellacopters desde 1994.
